Director, Strategic Planning and Peformance Management

Location:                    301 North Olive Avenue, WPB

 

Hours:                        8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday; will be required to work during emergencies.

 

Other:                         Valid Florida Driver’s License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.

 

                                    THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION.

 

Supervises all activities related to the long-term strategic plan and assists the Board of County Commissioners (BCC), Executive Team, Department Directors and staff with the development of long-term goals, objectives, strategies and actions.  Assists the administrative team with the development, adoption and implementation of initiatives supporting County-Wide strategic planning, continuous improvement efforts, process improvement and performance management.  Leads the performance management processes which include program evaluation and other analytical activities designed to assess the efficiency of County services in achieving the County’s long-term goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Public Administration, or closely related field with major coursework in analytical discipline; minimum of six (6) years of experience in strategic planning, program evaluation, and performance management, which includes three (3) years of supervisory and administration experience.  Equivalency:  Master’s Degree in Business/Public Administration and four (4) years of related professional experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory and administration experience.

 

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH:  Planning, developing, and establishing administrative policy; leading wide-spread training initiatives related to performance management processes.
