Schedule: M-Tu 8-5*, W 9-6*, Th 8-5*, Fri 8-430 Saturday: Average of 2 per month (9-12). *Subject to change during times of high demand. Specialist will work overtime as necessary and may need to work additional evenings/weekends on a regular basis to provide service to students, cover college fairs, recruitment events, etc.

Job Description:

1) Represents and promotes the college and recruits students. Arranges and conducts targeted recruitment
activities within specified territory and maintains regular contact with future students and other stakeholders in assigned high schools, career centers, community and government agencies, and business and industry entities.

2) Provides admissions and enrollment process information. Assists with the application process and next steps for enrollment. Provides information on programs of study, campus services and resources, student
life, and opportunities for campus involvement. Assists individuals, as well as groups of prospective students, in-person, by phone, by email, and via online chat, as well as other electronic/virtual and social media tools.

3) Explains educational program options and transfer opportunities, and assists students with developing a plan of action and setting proper expectations.

4) Maintains regular contact with future students and performs follow-up communication to ensure they are progressing through the application/enrollment process. Collaborates with and executes referrals to admissions office team members and other college departments/personnel to facilitate enrollment.

5) Assists with on-campus visits, tours, special event programming, and other internal and external recruitment activities. Provides outreach and follow-up support via written and phone communications.
Tracks all activities, evaluates their effectiveness and recommends outreach changes and improvements.

6) Keeps accurate records, completes and maintains all required documentation, including input of contacts into CRM, as well as outreach activity statistics and reports.

7) Maintains confidentiality of student files and other sensitive subject matter.

8) Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required and approved to meet workload demands.

9) Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 10 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Higher Education Administration, or closely related field, with at least one year of experience in sales, recruitment, marketing, or public relations. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).

Preferred Qualifications: A successful background in sales, recruitment, and/or outreach; experience with territory management and presenting to small and large groups; prior experience working with high school students, parents, school counselors, teachers, and/or school administrators.
