Job Summary

Emphasis will be placed on teaching students in on-ground lecture and laboratory courses.

• CHEM 1010/1020 – Introductory Chemistry I & II with laboratory
• CHEM 1110/1120 – General Chemistry I & II with laboratory
• CHEM 2010/2020 – Organic Chemistry I & II with laboratory

Chemistry courses are offered at the following campuses: Oak Ridge, Roane, Cumberland, and Campbell county.

Teaching loads may include day or evening hours and/or satellite campuses.

Job Duties

Teaching students in on-ground lecture and laboratory courses.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates qualifying to teach Introductory/General Chemistry lectures must have a minimum of a Master’s degree with 18 or more graduate semester hours in chemistry from a regionally accredited institution. Candidates qualifying to teach Organic Chemistry lectures must have graduate coursework in organic chemistry.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience teaching lecture and laboratories is desired.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to teach traditional face-to-face classes.
Use of technology (Zoom, D2L) to support student learning is expected.
