Job Summary
The Nurse does direct allergy testing as ordered by Physician, mixes allergens for patient administration, maintains supplies needed to perform duties, maintains proper documentation, and follows OSHA/WISHA guidelines. This position is also responsible for maintaining the CT scanner, obtaining authorizations and coordinating physicist review and accreditation of CT scanner.
The compensation range for this role is $24.46 - $65.24. (This encompasses the pay range for both LPNs and RNs)
Allergy:
- The Allergy Nurse provides patient care as directed by the physician or physician assistant.
- To ensure we are up to date with AAOA policies and procedures for both Issaquah and Bellevue clinics.
- Responsible for following OSHA regulations.
- Maintains immunotherapy room with necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness.
- Provide training to other medical assistants as they are onboarded to assist in allergy.
CT:
- The CT Nurse provides patient care as directed by the physician or physician assistant.
- To coordinate reviews and ensure we are up to date with our CT accreditation in both Issaquah and Bellevue clinics.
- To make sure our CT software is up-to-date and functioning properly, as well as taking inventory of radiologic supplies and adhering to established guidelines on hygiene and infection control.
- To keep abreast of the latest industry developments.
- Provide training to other medical assistants as they are onboarded to assist in CT scans

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient allergy testing
- Mix Allergens as indicated and ordered
- Report test results to provider in an organized and timely manner
- Chart all vital information in electronic record as well as check to be sure all information related to medication, health history and reason for visit is obtained and documented
- Take voicemail messages directed to them and perform action required
- Maintain patient documentation for visit and communications in person or over the phone
- Obtain CT authorization information as needed by co workers
- Maintain CT calibration and accreditation duties and documentation
- Coordinate physicist scheduled surveys
- Maintain equipment, follow daily duties as assigned
- Perform CT when indicated
- Perform allergy immunization injections when indicated
- Mix and mail allergens as indicated
Job Qualifications
Education / Certification/ Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of a Certified Nursing Program
- Basic and/or advanced allergy course
- Previous work history in allergy required
