Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton, College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory seeks a Diagnostic Technician. The Diagnostic Technician performs chemical analyses that detect/identify toxins in animal specimens. This position is responsible for duties related to the Toxicology Section of the UK Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory for diagnosis of illness in animals. The person in this position performs sample preparation (including tissue digestion, liquid and solid extractions, and other techniques). They also perform chemical analyses using instruments including HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS and others. Report results in an accurate, timely manner. Enter test results in laboratory LIMS system.
