As the exhibitions coordinator, you will assist with on-the-ground project management for exhibitions, which includes researching, ordering, and arranging the delivery of installation materials and supplies. Responsibilities include securing approval for artist technicians and then arranging their domestic travel itineraries; problem solving for exhibition installation solutions, storage issues, and exhibition flip navigation; and maintaining the inventory of all related cleaning supplies, reordering when needed. In this position you will arrange building access for contractors and shippers, collect and deliver exhibition project item samples, reconcile payments for production components, and liaise with with production/AV companies for installation.

The exhibitions coordinator position requires you to be able to provide operational support for programming and coverage; to organize museum storage areas; and to assist with program set up, break down, ordering, errand running, and gift bag assembly to assure the success of the exhibitions department. You must be able to work cooperatively with all exhibitions teams and departments to facilitate a smooth operation.

Minimum Qualifications:      

  • Bachelor's degree with at least two years of project related experience and/or training
  • Interior design/production related experience
  • Highly motivated, positive, flexible, proactive individual with outstanding organizational skills
  • Works well in a team environment

Travel Required:  

  • Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
