Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide wide-ranging legal support to Proximo’s rapidly growing alcoholic beverages business. Assist with marketing materials, commercial agreements, intellectual property matters, U.S. federal and state regulatory compliance issues and general corporate matters.
  • Review marketing materials (e.g., social media posts, point-of-sale materials, digital/print ads and sweepstakes/contest rules), product labels and packaging to ensure compliance with applicable beverage alcohol laws and quality standards.
  • Review and revise (i) advertising, sponsorship, promotional, licensing and other marketing agreements, (ii) distribution, production, supply and other commercial agreements and (iii) employment, real estate, settlement, confidentiality and other general corporate agreements.
  • Research federal, state and foreign laws and regulations, including tied-house, distilled spirits advertising and franchise law issues.
  • Assist in filing of state and federal brand registrations, label registrations, price filings and monthly reports.
  • Review, revise and update Proximo’s general policies and procedures.
  • Manage corporate governance formalities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Expected completion of first year at a highly-ranked law school by summer 2024.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Proven analytical skills, with an ability to see both specific and big picture issues.
  • Willingness to work hard, learn and ask questions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work full-time during the summer 2024.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the beverage alcohol industry.

Authorization to work in the United States required.
