Professor, Sequential Art
The professor delivers courses at the highest quality; demonstrates model leadership; fosters a positive learning environment; fulfills departmental duties; and contributes to the university’s mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. In addition to other duties and responsibilities required in the faculty handbook and the employment agreement, a professor teaches courses, as determined by contact hours, and in accordance with their credentials, university needs, and a signed employment agreement. The university, in its sole discretion, may assign the professor to a teaching or non-teaching position as stipulated in the employment agreement.
This job description does not change, modify, or amend in any way the written, signed employment agreement between the professor and the university.
Minimum qualifications:
- Terminal degree in the discipline or in a related field
- Academic or professional credentials to teach in a certain discipline
- Experience in or knowledge of related professions
Preferred qualifications:
- Teaching experience at the collegiate level
- Strong drawing skills aimed specifically at anatomy and perspective for comics
Travel required: Less than 10%
Work hours: As noted in the employment agreement
