Job Summary

The Laboratory Technician will perform microbiological and biochemical experiments. Common techniques include bacterial cultures, transformations, DNA/RNA purification, recombinant protein purification, protein crystallization. Coordinate and reserve equipment and procedure rooms required for performing experimental work. Collect and record data generated from experiments.

They will also maintain documentation for and monitor compliance with safety regulatory policies and procedures.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Running laboratory experiments with appropriate safety precautions, planning and organizing, dependability, technical skills. Attention to detail, organization. Research policies, procedures, protocols.
