How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Lead the design and architecture of enterprise class platforms using industry best practices
  • Write clean and concise code that is well-tested, easy to maintain, and consistent with existing patterns in our codebase.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to translate business designs and requirements into functioning applications.
  • Developing React based applications and integrating them with back-end systems to support high-volume intranet applications.
  • Collaborating with product owners, delivery managers, and other developers to deliver a quality product.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility of the work at hand and shepherding code through to production.
  • Actively pair-programming with teammates for collective code ownership and mentoring other engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hands on experience (4+ years) in designing and developing Orchestrator layers and APIs
  • Hands on experience in developing workflow components
  • Experience of building REST APIs in Java and/or JavaScript;
  • Keen understanding of application architecture and design in a cloud-native environment
  • Experience with Event Driven architecture and implementation.architecture and implementation.
  • Ability to quickly identify coding and environment issues relating to design, stability, and scalability
  • Strong experience with developing code for Relational and NoSQL databases
  • Leadership experience in Agile development environment within a heavily matrixed organization
  • Automated testing, build automation (Jenkins preferred), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) across multiple pipelines
  • Performance testing experience including root cause analysis and resolution for complicated issues
  • Willingness and ability to lead complex cross-team initiatives without direct authority
  • Learn new technologies quickly, be able to mentor team members, and leverage new technology benefits to enhance existing software
  • Strong sense of ownership and a big proponent of DevOps culture.
  • 8+ years of Software Development experience, with 2+ yrs of vendor management is a plus (not critical).
  • Preferably a BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other subject area.
  • Solid programming skills in one of the core programming languages like Java related technologies.
  • Strong thought leadership skills, with consistent track record of leading through influencing.
  • Showcased and proven experience in core engineering skills in terms of automation of availability, logging, monitoring, B&Cs, alerting etc.
  • Strong development and experience with distributed systems architecture including APIs.
  • Deep code analysis and refactoring skills with the goal being proactive platform improvement.
  • Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis and resolve short term and long-term fixes very fast.
  • Ability to communicate problems/issues across multiple levels of leadership and obtain concurrence on go-forward approach quickly for time-critical issues.
  • Ability to drive code review and change review sessions to ensure changes are of acceptable quality.
  • Good understanding of Change Management, Problem Management, and Incident Management processes a plus.
  • Ability to efficiently interpret Business objectives and challenges and articulate solutions.
  • Ability to learn new Technologies and exploit them to their efficient potential

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
