What will you do?
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Oregon State Hospital(OSH), Food Service program in Junction City, Oregon has a fantastic career opportunity for a Supply Specialist 1 to provide support to the warehousing and storeroom operations of Food and Nutrition Services in terms of receiving, storing, and issuing of food and supplies and the maintenance of the supporting records and documents. The position is responsible for the stocking, putting away, issuing and distributing food and non- food supplies required for daily operations. The position assists the Supply Specialist 2 to inspect and receive incoming shipments, make daily computer entries of receipts and purchases. The person in this position will also participate in taking cycle counts and physical inventories and the reconciliation of inventory records.

Minimum Qualifications:
One year of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience which included purchasing a variety of supplies, equipment or materials, maintaining inventory records, and shipping and receiving materials and equipment.
Desired Attributes:
- All positions in DHS require a criminal records check.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Forklift Operator Certification(agency will assist with training)
- Strong communication skills on phone, fax and E-mail
- Knowledge of State of Oregon purchasing and contracting policies and procedures
- Experience with computerized purchasing, receiving and inventory systems
- Experience with manual purchasing, receiving and inventory methods. Must have experience and proficiency in the operation of common office devices and equipment; at least one year of experience in keyboarding and computer operations. Experience in operating warehouse material moving equipment
- Current Food Handlers card
- Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s License.
- Skill in compiling and analyzing data from databases and reports to establish usage trends.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able lift over 50 lbs. daily and 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Occasional local travel.
- Exposure to fluctuating temperature. Ability to work in -20 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 30 min. at a time.
- Works around wet floors.
- Work hours subject to change with little notice. May be required to work hours that exceed regular shift, i.e. a double shift or a different shift in addition to regular schedule.
- Works flexibly and cooperatively with co-workers and other hospital employees.
