Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Radiological Controls Training Instructor to work in our Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) Training department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our ATR facility with every Friday off. You will design and deliver technical training programs to support ATR operations and programs.. You will report directly to the manager of the ATR Training department. Responsibilities Include: <ul><li>Develop and implement technical facility-specific training and qualification programs for radiological control personnel.&nbsp;</li><li>Identify training needs and analyze training requirements for radiological control personnel (RCT/HPT).</li><li>Develop learning goals, lesson plans, training support materials, evaluation standards, and written/oral examinations to ensure staff are qualified to perform their responsibilities following regulations and procedures. Design training to obtain high levels of proficiency and retention.&nbsp;</li><li>Review technical procedures, reports, proposals, and other appropriate documents to determine impact on the training programs and to make recommendations for implementation or revision based on observations of operations or training evolutions. Implement approved recommendations.&nbsp;</li><li>Establish and maintain examination question banks. Develop, schedule, administer, grade, and evaluate written, oral and tests and performance examinations.</li><li>Perform and evaluate classroom, on-the-job, and simulator training.&nbsp; Ensure assigned training programs follow the requirements of program documents, company procedures, training implementation matrices, and training program plans.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in support activities as assigned, including serving on assessment teams, investigation teams, benchmarking teams, and collaborating with laboratory training organizations.&nbsp;</li><li>May coordinate activities to accomplish goals with other trainers.&nbsp;</li><li>Evaluate training programs to ensure requirements are met and programs are vigorous and are accomplishing the goals established for delivery of training. Conduct self-assessment activities required by company procedures, using results to improve the training programs. Track deficiencies and provide completion of actions that correct deficiencies. Document and implement required corrective measures if needed.&nbsp;</li><li>Mentor junior staff.&nbsp;</li></ul>Qualifications Minimum Requirements:&nbsp; <ul><li>Level 3: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, an advanced degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or 11 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.</li><li>Level 4: Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience, an advanced degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.</li><li>Relevant experience must be in technical facility (commercial or DOE) training programs or industry.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain ATR RCT qualification.</li><li>This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.&nbsp;</li></ul> Job Information:&nbsp; <ul><li>The pay range for this position is: Level 3 ($75,804 - $155,496) / Level 4 ($91,008 -$186,588).
