Secondary role assignments include tasks assigned that may or may not be related to flight duties to facilitate the management of core Aviation functions.This position will be based in Newburgh, New York at Stewart International Airport.Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Ensures that the aircraft is airworthy, registered and that the required documentation is onboard the aircraft</li><li>Checks weather and all applicable NOTAMs, where available, and determines fuel, oil and oxygen requirements</li><li>Determines the aircraft weight and balance</li><li>Ensures that all flight planning requirements have been met</li><li>Ensures that aircraft crewmembers have valid licenses, medical certificates, passports, and visas (when required)</li><li>Completes an aircraft preflight inspection before each departure</li><li>Ensures the passenger safety brief is completed</li><li>Coordinates with Dispatch, Maintenance, other crew members, and external agencies in the planning and execution of flight duties</li><li>Operates the aircraft per standard operating procedures, aircraft limitations, and in accordance with applicable FAA/ICAO rules and regulations</li><li>Maintains currency requirements by type and ensures the currency of aircraft crewmembers prior to flight</li><li>Ensures compliance with customs, immigration and cabotage laws</li><li>Leads the crew utilizing appropriate crew resource management in the accomplishment of all trip requirements</li><li>Completes all post flight duties, including notifying the company of deviations to any planned itinerary or overnight location</li><li>Records flight times and aircraft maintenance items</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience with Gulfstream 600/650 aircrafts is required</li><li>Prior large turbine aircraft operating experience as PIC</li><li>Exhibits enthusiasm, passion, and curiosity for Aviation</li><li>Inclusive mindset and behaviors</li><li>Demonstrates a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a dynamic work environment</li><li>Functional computer application skills</li><li>Well-developed interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, both written and oral</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Prior work experience in corporate/business aviation</li></ul>Requirements/Qualifications:<ul><li>FAA-issued Air Transport Pilot certificate with multi-engine rating (GVI or GVII type rating preferred)</li><li>English proficiency pilot certificate endorsement</li><li>Current, and ability to maintain, FAA first-class medical</li><li>Up-to-date immunization/vaccine record (subject to review by Amex Medical)</li></ul>Non-considerations for sponsorship:Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.Salary Range: $210,000.00 - $300,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
