Harvard's International Payee Tax Compliance (IPTC) in FAD is the office responsible for ensuring the University’s compliance with tax and immigration requirements on payments to non-U.S. individuals and entities. The Tax Compliance Specialist develops knowledge of IRS Chapter 3 tax regulations and USCIS immigration requirements to ensure compliance. Assists international faculty, staff, students, guests, and vendors to facilitate and validate their tax residency status and eligibility for tax treaty benefits. Develop knowledge and skills to determine appropriate tax treatment of routine or standard payment types. Collaborate with other FAD units on payment tax compliance issues. 31-Oct-2024<h4>Animal Technician I / Cage Washer</h4>Harvard Medical School 67297BRPosition DescriptionPerforms basic duties related to the daily preparation of clean caging to be used in the animal facilities as well as general maintenance and upkeep.&nbsp;Duties include:<ul><li>Disassembling and emptying dirty cages</li><li>Loading cage components into cage wash machines</li><li>Unloading cage wash machine</li><li>Loading and unloading sterilizers&nbsp;</li><li>Reassembling cage components</li><li>Disinfection of animal-related supplies prior to use</li><li>General cleaning and maintenance of cage wash machines and sterilizers</li><li>General cleaning and maintenance of cage wash area</li><li>Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.</li></ul>Basic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Additional Qualifications and SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills are required; must be able to communicate effectively with and relate to various personnel throughout the University.&nbsp;Physical Requirements<ul><li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 300 pounds, routinely.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to walk or stand for a full 7.5-hour shift.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to perform in an environment with exposure to animals, animal dander, animal byproducts and bedding materials for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including respiratory equipment (e.g. N95 mask or PAPR), if/when necessary.&nbsp;</li></ul>Additional InformationThis position is considered to be essential personnel for Harvard Center for Comparative Medicine. Weekend and holiday work may be required as well as attendance during school closures (due to inclement weather and/or other emergencies).&nbsp;Offer contingent upon successful completion of a pre-placement medical evaluation.
