The expectation for the provider is to have 2.5 patients scheduled per hour. In addition, there are expectation independent of the clinic hour calculation and FTE status. The technologist provides technical and ancillary support to the department mission through demonstrated clinical and academic competency in CT. Clinical and academic competency is defined as completing training and meeting all clinical responsibilities to all areas assigned, ability to work unsupervised in the clinical setting, willingness to rotate to all areas as the need arises, and holding appropriate licensure and advanced certification, as required by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), the ACR (American College of Radiology)and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. $10,000 sign-on bonus for new full-time CT’s! Our Radiology Department is looking for an experienced and highly skilled CT Tech to join our team. We are looking for a tech to lead the opening of our brand new CT machine, and help open the service to patients throughout EBNHC.Essential Responsibilities &amp; Duties: <ul><li>Operates a CT (computed tomography) scanner to perform technologist duties as required and necessary for proper departmental work flow.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs appropriate studies as determined through policy and procedure.&nbsp; Follows requisition in terms of providing proper study for patients.&nbsp; Ensures that exams requested match patient condition and/or history and calls or asks the appropriate persons for more information as necessary to perform the proper study.</li><li>Prepares patient for exams as required and always insures patient comfort and modesty. Accommodates patient needs and staffing needs through flexibility in scheduling and timeliness of studies.</li><li>Sets up equipment as necessary and uses proper imaging techniques.&nbsp; Adjusts imaging factors when necessary to improve study or quality factors. Works through radiologist’s requirements to provide appropriate images and provides additional views and variations of techniques as requested.</li><li>Completes procedures in timely fashion while providing quality images for Radiology and outside departments.&nbsp; Completes work by the end of the shift or communicates with coworkers about work needing completion.</li><li>Participate in intravenous (IV) training, and passes all competencies required to start and administer IV contrast material under the general observation of a qualified physician, as per department policy and procedure.</li><li>&nbsp;Maintains equipment through interaction with both management and department service vendors to maximize equipment up time, patient care, and minimize dollar impact to the health center.</li><li>Performs patient focused customer service and ensures the following standards are met appropriately and achieved.&nbsp; Communicates patient complaints professionally to the appropriate supervisor.&nbsp; Keeps discussions around patients to a minimum and ensures that patients are not subjected to departmental conversations and/or any inappropriate behavior.
