Environmental Safety Specialist - TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

LMI is seeking applicants for an environmental safety engineer position in the Northern Virginia/Washington, DC region. This position will be providing direct client support within various client locations in the region.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on environmental compliance issues affecting Government facilities
- Draft policy statements, standard operating procedures, fact sheets, newsletter articles and other communications regarding current and future environmental regulations affecting the Government
- Develop and/or review applicable environmental compliance and management plans
- Review National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation and provide Facilities' project managers advice on NEPA applicability
- Provide technical environmental regulatory assistance and guidance to facilitate environmental compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Conduct environmental compliance inspections/audits/evaluations as directed by the Government to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and Presidential Executive Orders
- Update and monitor environmental regulatory permits held by the Government
- Develop and conduct environmental compliance training for Government employees and contractors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
- Two (2) years of related experience
