The Finance Data Science and Analytics (FDS&A) organization partners across the enterprise to drive analyses and forecasts for key metrics and investment decisions.The team leverages the latest modelling and analytics techniques to provide insights on both current and future performance.
Description:
This Manager-level position is an opportunity to drive innovation at American Express by supporting our Generative AI workstreams for Finance. Working with the Gen AI Product Owner, this role will drive the ideation, development, and implementation of next-generation AI solutions. Working in a whitespace environment this position will partner closely with both Technologies and end users to launch new capabilities and play a critical role in translating business requirements into strategic AI solutions for our state-of-the-art use cases.
This is a high-visibility role which affords the opportunity to shape the strategy for cutting-edge Generative AI capabilities in Finance. The manager will focus on cross-functional collaboration and ideation of new and novel concepts in this rapidly evolving domain and should expect frequent exposure to senior leaders across Finance, Technology, Risk other adjacent organizations.
Based in the Amex Tower in New York City, this hybrid position promises a stimulating blend of strategic influence and hands-on innovation.
Responsibilities:
·Develop, build, and scale Finance next generation AI solutions
·Stay on top of the latest developments and innovations in the Gen AI space, including industry trends, best practices and new product / capability launches from third-parties
·Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications and user stories for AI-driven product features and enhancements
·Partner with Gen AI PMO to own the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI initiatives in Finance, from ideation and conceptualization to implementation
·Utilize agile tools and techniques to drive successful delivery, including writing features and user stories
·Partner with PMO to develop and report on tracking KPIs and outcomes from the use cases with on-going monitoring mechanisms
Qualifications:
·Comfort thriving in whitespace/greenfield role where there is an obligation to innovate and continuously drive new ideas independently
·Desire to thought partner to develop and implement transformative tools and capabilities
·Passion for learning about emerging technologies in the Gen AI space with a focus on applicability to use cases in the Finance organization
·Demonstrated experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice-versa, bridging the gap between academic outputs and real-world applications
·Understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, large language models and generative AI
·Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders across levels the Enterprise
·Experience with at least one programming language such as python
·B.S. / M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative field [e.g., Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science] strongly preferred
·Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies preferred
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
