Overview

LMI is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team for an AI-driven project with a strong focus on data and product management. The project encompasses various activities, including data architecture, data ingestion, modeling and simulation, user onboarding, and data visualization. The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of data science expertise, Agile project management, and experience in driving team success within a SAFe Agile framework.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives) and ensure alignment with SAFe Agile principles
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data architecture, ingestion, and modeling solutions, ensuring data quality and consistency
  • Work closely with product and data management teams to prioritize, define, and groom backlog items focused on data architecture, modeling, and AI-driven simulations
  • Support user onboarding activities by collaborating with data and UX/UI teams to ensure a smooth experience for end-users
  • Coordinate data visualization efforts, ensuring visual outputs are insightful, user-centric, and align with project goals
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to the team in Agile best practices, promoting a collaborative and innovative environment
  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and opportunities, ensuring proactive mitigation and alignment with project timelines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3-10 years of experience as a data scientist or in a similar data-driven role
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master on projects involving data architecture, modeling, or AI
  • Active DoD security clearance (Secret) required
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data modeling, and data ingestion processes
  • Familiarity with data visualization and AI tools and techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Data Science or a related field
  • Certifications in SAFe Agile methodology (e.g., SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist)
  • Experience in the AI/ML domain with a focus on data-centric projects
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team facilitation skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, React) and data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark)
  • Part-time onsite client support in the Washington, DC metro area
